About AquaHub
AquaHub is built by a hobbyist who got tired of every other aquarium app being either a glorified notebook or a scammy ad-fest. The whole point of this app is to do the math right — and stay out of your way the rest of the time.
Why we built this
If you've kept fish for any length of time you've probably hit the same frustration: the apps that exist for aquarium tracking are either bare-bones note-takers, or they're crammed with ads, or they have generic species data that's missing the parameters that actually matter — bioload contribution, nitrate output, plant offset, parameter ranges that are actually accurate.
AquaHub started as a personal project to track tanks across a household. Once we had it working, it was obvious that any aquarist would benefit. So we cleaned it up, gave it real bioload calculations, and shipped it.
What's different
- The math is real. Bioload scoring is calculated from species data, not made up. Plant offset uses actual nitrate uptake numbers from aquaponics research.
- The species data is curated. We're not scraping competitor sites — every species record is reviewed for accuracy.
- No ads, ever. AquaHub is freemium. The free tier is genuinely useful. The paid tier unlocks advanced features for power users.
- Privacy-first. We don't sell your data. We don't track you across the web. Your tanks are yours.
What's coming
AquaHub is actively being built. The current version handles tanks and the foundation for livestock, water tests, and bioload. Soon: full bioload calculator, water test history with charts, photo logs, maintenance reminders, and the species library going public.
